I'd previously replaced the belt but had an issue where the record would randomly speed up while playing. That belt was slightly too wide and would ride up on the drive spindle, resulting in rpm weirdness. This belt is the proper width for the black belt-drive Pioneer PL-600 and has been performing perfectly since installation.

I bought my wife an old Pioneer PL-600 locally for 25 dollars. (For the price it also came with a nice receiver and speakers, so I took a chance and bought the set). The turntable did not have a belt, but it powered on and the motor worked. I was excited to get it running, so I joined Prime and had it delivered the next day. When I shopped around on Amazon I looked at every single belt for sale on the site. This one was double the price of some others that stated that the belt was specific to this turntable. I also read that the belt thickness can affect the performance, so I didn't even bother with the budget bundle packs of different size belts. I am glad that I paid the extra money for this belt. It is the perfect width and thickness, as well as the length. I installed it and this old turntable works absolutely perfectly now. I did not need to adjust anything. Again, I know that I could have saved some money and tried the less expensive belts, but why? It's not worth the hassle if the cheap ones don't fit and function as they should. My wife loves her music. I like retro electronics. Retro = cool IMHO.Bottom line: the next time that I need a new belt for this turntable, this is the one I will buy.

It's too tight for my Pioneer turntable so I will have to stretch it out myself to get the speed right.
