Item arrived quickly, was well-packed, and exactly as described/pictured. After use, I'm really impressed; I was using a felt mat which led to LOTS of static build up. Not so with the cork; no more static cling! The sound is great too - as others have reported, the upgrade from felt to cork does seem to help boost the mid/low range response.One final note; this mat has an indention to allow for the record label, so that the vinyl will sit flat on the mat. The twice-the-price mats seem to lack this feature (although some have some cool designs).

I have bought several different types of mats since I started my return journey into vinyl. I have found that the cork works the best for ME!! Love the cut out relief for the album label and the printed Logo on the surface of the mat as well. Cork seems to sound the best for my ear!! Of course we all have are own tastes in sound, but this sounds good to me!! Plus it did cut down on static buildup!

I’ve never had a problem with records skipping. Since using this I have had every one that I’ve played on it skip. It does make it sound a bit warmer with less static. But it certainly isnt worth it.

Easy to install, little thick for tone arm to set down easily. Have to be very careful, yet the record doesn’t slide when cleaning.

Just listened to about (10) records on a vintage Dual 510 (that did have a semi-hard rubber platter) and this cork mat definitely is an IMPROVEMENT to my ears. It also seems to really reduce the static on the record because once I take the record off the turntable there is very little static buildup like there was before (can tell this simply when putting record back into a paper sleeve and how it draws the paper sleeve next to the record). My only real negative is that when taking the record off the platter, the cork mat is exactly same size as the LP and I sometimes pick up the mat AND record instead of the record by itself. I have to get used to only slightly raising just the LP's edge and not touching the cork mat. A great value to improve my turntable and make LPs sound a bit better. BTW I listen to 20-25 records per week on average.

This mat works as advertised. Bought this for it's static cancelling, sound damppening qualities. Plus, it is a good value for the quality.

Works great. Eliminates static. When people in the reviews says it creates static they are wrong. They need anti-static liner sleeves for their albums. Cork does not create static.
