My 6 year old complained of his face being cold when he played outside during recess. This solved the problem. He pulls it up over his nose when his cheeks are cold and pulls it back down when he wants. It is very soft. We ordered the dark blue and also a dark pink for my 4 year old. Both fit well and the colors were as pictured.
