The piece is very nice looking, but is small and lightweight for the price. I'm replacing a similar piece which was dropped & the lid broke after several years. The photo of this piece looked about the same, but when it came it was 50% smaller and much lighter weight.

This is exactly the size I wanted fits 2- 3 bulbs. Plus it is a beautifully crafted and finished piece. I also give high marks on the packaging. It well protected from breakage during shipping.

What I don't like is the opening is too small for a whole garlic bulb; opening should be 1/2" wider. I have to break the garlic bulb. What I love is the color and pattern blends well with my granite countertop and tile backsplash. It's the right height--short/squat--so the lid knob doesn't get in the way of my counter work. The inset lid can't slip off if I accidentally brush against it (as my old taller one did as the lid kept flipping off and breaking/gluing/cracking/gluing). Again, great height but opening just needs to be a little wider.

Nice little garlic holder however it isn't big enough for how many that I buy.
