I was looking for simple protection for the thin mattress in a sofa bed. Most such products only protect the top side of the mattress and are held in place with an elastic skirt around the sides of the mattress. That would not work well for a mattress that is being folded (or rolled) in the process of storing the sofa bed. Never mind that those elastic skirts are designed for much thicker or extra deep mattresses.I was happy to find this product which doesn't use any elastics and securely encloses the mattress on all 6 sides! Even better is the fact that it is available in multiple sizes for an exact fit on thin mattresses.There were two surprises when I installed the mattress protector that shows the attention to detail given when designing this product.The first surprise was that the zipper was not simply added on one of the sides. Instead the length of the zipper extends for about a foot around the two corners. This ensures that there is no stress on the zipper when inserting or removing the mattress (when cleaning the mattress protector).The second surprise was a velcro flap over the zipper pull (when in the closed position). This feature ensures that the zipper stays closed and doesn't work itself open with movement on the mattress. In addition it ensures that the zipper pull doesn't scratch the fragile laminate found on many bed frames or the skin of a person handling the mattress.The protector I ordered (4 inch) fits snug around width and depth of the mattress (but it was possible to pull it over the mattress without using force). The protector is longer than the mattress but the extra length is easily folded down under the mattress. I keep the protector installed and it does not interfere with storing and extracting the sofa bed. The sofa bed is a queen size sleeper sofa from Living Spaces.

I am always skeptical when buying any protector for a mattress because a ruined mattress is a void warranty(for the mattress). Especially if I'm unable to feel the waterproof lining material before I purchase the protector. I bought this for a 4inch memory foam mattress topper that I use as a montessori floor bed for my toddlers. As us seasoned parents well know sometimes there are blow outs and yesterday one of my toddlers had a complete blow out... Through their clothes, the fitted bedsheet and to my surprise NOT THIS PROTECTOR! The mattress was completely dry and stain free and the protector actually did what it states in the description - it protected the mattress and is WATERPROOF! No liquid on the mattress!! So happy with this purchase!The zipper also works well and has a very strong velcro attachment so my children cannot unzip the liner. It is soft but I put a fitted sheet over it. I would reccomend to anyone with young children that sometimes may have accidents.

Used this on old 5" low profile box spring to refresh & keep cats from clawing at underside & getting lost in there. Was easy to put on as it has some stretch. Fits nice & snug & zips up easily.

I recently purchased a couple of tri-fold 4" twin mattresses for use for family visits and wanted a fitted leak-proof sheet to guard the mattresses against liquid accidents. These fitted protectors fit tightly and easily.

Quality is good/what I expected. There is a brand tag across one outside corner that I didn’t want visible, so I clipped it cautiously.Only weird thing was it didn’t arrive in a package or box… just the plastic zipper pouch with a shipping label on it. Product itself seems fine. I washed it twice upon arrival. Dried it throughly and it fit perfectly.Basically noiseless from what I can tell. I had a similar one and it feels like it should be water resistant unless you have pets or something else puncture it. Simple and minimal. As described and as expected (except for the shipping without outer packaging).
