My son has been swimming for awhile, but just switched to this type of swim trunk because he needs them to wear under a wetsuit. He wasn't sure about them when he first tried them on because he was so used to the standard baggy style. After swimming in them the first time, he was a convert. He made the comment that "they don't ever seem to be wet". From toweling off beside the pool to 5 minutes later in the locker room, they were almost completely dry. He said he was surprised at how dry they were compared to how his baggy ones are always soaking when he was putting them into his swim bag. These are now his go-to trunks for swim practice.I cannot yet speak to durability since we've only had them a short time, but so far they are just what we were looking for. Fit well under his wet suit. Drawstring is extra help to prevent accidental overexposure. Nice sturdy, opaque fabric. Arrived in a timely manner. I'll buy another pair for the season to alternate daily. Good quality suits that are holding up well to swim practices and meets, plus hanging out at the pool all day. They fit better than I expected for my very hard-to-fit twins. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Purchased for son as an extra for practices. It's a size up from his current size, but I expect they'll fit him soon. These aren't quite as nice as the Speedo ones he uses for meets, but they are perfectly good and the price was good too. These will be great for as long as they still fit.

My son recently switched from trunks to jammers for competitive swim. He loves them and says how comfortable they are. They fit him nicely, he's 8 years old, average height and weighs just over 40 lbs and we bought him the 24. However after less than 3 months of use (he swims 3 to 5 days a week) they have developed runs going horizontally from the vertical seam across his bottom. We intentionally didn't buy the cheapest on the market thinking these would last a long time. I think they would work wonderfully if your child swims less often, but year round swimmers will probably wear them out quickly.Pros:DrawstringFits well around lower legsKeeps colorComfortable (according to my son)Cons:Bottom area wore out in about 10 weeks

Got these for my son who is 50" tall and 54lbs. His waist is 22" but I think the 22 would be too snug. He's pretty lean to avg build for today's standard.24" will fit him for the next 6 months maybe.I had the Lycra speedos and those wore out less than 8 months of swimming 3x a week.

son loves the offset seams in the front (not one up the middle over his you know what) they run a bit looser than the speedo brand ones we had. suits held up well, washed multiple times a week and will be able to be passed down between my sons. good suit, will buy again.
