This trusted candle lantern value pack includes 4 long-lasting candles and a protective fleece bag. Ideal for outdoor pursuits, this lantern set provides cozy heat and natural light for up to 9 hours per candle. Surrounded by a sturdy metal frame and glass chimney, each candle lights in a flash — slide the chimney down to light the exposed wick. As the wax candle burns, the spring-powered tube pushes it up for a reliable, constant flame. Monitor the candle for remaining burn time via the side viewing slot.

UCO lamps have been my favorite for years. I use them for lighting my campsites and picnic areas whenever I’m out after dark. (Hint: Hang the lamp above eye level. That way you don’t ruin your night vision.)They are also valuable for use if you experience a power failure at home!Easy to light, candles last about 9 hours!

I own both the brass and Aluminum UCO singles. I use them almost daily indoors for relaxing lighting. I love them both. Aesthetically the brass looks better, but overall I prefer the aluminum. The key difference is the aluminum metal holding the candle does not retain heat as much as the brass holder. Since the candles are being pushed up by a spring, if the candle melts too far the spring will push the wax over the top causing a mess. I only have had this with the aluminum when burning for many hours, whereas I experience it with the brass frequently.

As noted, it’s noticeably heavier than the aluminum model. I should have ordered the cocoon to store it in. Being heavier shouldn’t be a problem unless you are an ultra light backpacker.

I bought this to use as a night light to keep on my night stand. I read somewhere that candle light is beneficial to your circadian rhythm or something.I won’t use it for camping as i own way too many, much more convenient and brighter flashlights. Gave it 4 stars because the sheet metal frame seems a little flimsy and the candle refills seem overpriced. But all in all I like it.
