It is a good size for a ukelele or a mandolin, a little small for my banjo, it will work below the fifth string peg, but the neck is thicker and wider above that. It's sturdy, well made, and reasonably priced.

First I must say the quality and fit and finish was very good…I liked the color that you could easily see if you dropped it on the floor.I bought this for my Eastmam 305. Unfortunately, it barely fits on the neck and probably would pop off during a song. I then tried it on my Ibanez 510 and it would not even go on as its neck is a little thicker. I did try it on my ukulele and it fit perfect but that is not what I bought it for so I am sending it back. Maybe the one I received was just not perfect and that is why it would not fit.

I was afraid that this capo would not work on my wide neck uke. But even though it's small and light it does span all the way to clamp down the A string.

I was skeptical that the capo would be particular to a ukelele, but it fits the instrument great. It seems sturdy, and my son is very happy with how this enables him to play a wider variety of music.
