I bought this to film content for my social media pages. I’m an artist, but I’m also a photographer and videographer who owns multiple tripods, but I needed something compact and with a smaller footprint for tabletop shots. I Decided to go with this over another popular magnetic phone stand made of pleather, and I’m glad I did. This thing is solid and feels great to use. Being made of metal I’m also more confident it’ll last a long time. Magnets are super strong, and if you use a pop socket it fits right over it, which is a great bonus.Obviously the size means you can’t just leave it on your phone at all times, but it’s slim and lightweight enough that you can easily slip it in your pocket or any bag you may have on you (or just clip it to your bag).

I didn’t have high hopes for this tripod to be honest. I’ve been looking for a small enough phone tripod that I would remember to bring with me and and not take up space.I did like the idea that it had a carabiner that was the MagSafe attachment. Quite clever. I could clip this onto an existing camera bag and not rose up much room. Using my iPhone with a MagSafe case, it felt pretty sturdy that I would have confidence in using this as a selfie stick/gimbal without it falling off. It works well as a tripod so I can have this for videos and watching videos (think: on an airplane).For $30 this is a bargain, especially when compared to Peak Design’s phone tripod at $80 (which I own and enjoy). They’re cheap enough to buy as gifts and come in handy for a number of uses.

Nice product. Super cool and smart design. The carabiner clip makes it even more useful. I only took away one start because I don't see a way to tighten the legs if they become loose. You CAN tighten the carabiner gate, which makes it seem like they could've come up with a way to do it for the legs. Maybe an enhancement for the MA31.

This tripod even fits with my pop socket installed! The MagSafe connection feels solid and strong.The metal feels well finished and rounded at the corners and the legs feel easy to move, but stiff enough to stay put when pointed where you want it.The caribeaner / loop spring feels good throughout its range and seems easy to latch.It has rubber where the tripod magnetically attaches to the phone. It also has rubber feet on the leg parts.

Just know that this thing is completely flat so when it attaches to the back of your iPhone, if your case protrudes at all, it will rub it and not get a firm connection to your phone.

This is actually so useful, I always wanted a simple stand that I could pull out fast and film and this is perfect for that. I wish the legs had more of a grip to not slide sometimes, but for the most part it stays put.

Love this new little tripod, not only is it great to do facetime's around the house, its also fantastic for taking a group photo or filming a walk through of a location.
