This was not bad to put together. I pre bended each side and a lay of the paper does break but does not fall apart. It only took me a couple of minutes to do. The pictures I got for the partial eclipse we had came out great, I’m so happy I found this.

Worked as described, but the breaks and cuts, for easy assembly not so much. The breaks in the cardboard were pressed hard enough, causing some tearing. Not cool when your eyes are involved.

This was a perfect for photographing the Eclipse, I was able to get some amazing photos. Originally I was going to do a screw on filter but after some googling and seeing just how affordable this was I decided to go this route and BOY am I glad I did, this worked out beautifully. I will likely be buying more in the future as I plan to travel around for more eclipses.

My Nikon binoculars measure 52mm on the outside of the barrel so I ordered this 50-69mm size. These are MUCH too big. By layering on four thick rubber bands, I increased my diameter to 65-67mm and now the filters basically fit, but I still feel that I would want to hold onto them as I gripped the binoculars because I don’t have confidence in the tightness. Definitely order a size where your diameter is at the top of the range.

With some difficulty, I was able to fold and assemble one lens cover. When I attempted to fold and assemble the second lens cover, the cardboard buckled and the solar film ripped. The cardboard is so stiff and the solar film so delicate, the process is difficult.

Safe & effective. Choose size carefully. Fit is, as you should expect, snug with binoculars measuring at the top of the size range. If too tight, the filters can tear. Too large is better than too small. We found that rubber bands (like we get with broccoli or other vegetables) do a nice job of keeping the filters well attached to binoculars.

I ordered this for photographing an eclipse. It arrived in good shape and was just the inexpensive lens cover I needed
