Used the knuckles off of two of these and welded the magnet base to a set of tube clamps for mirror welding. The spare mirror and knuckleless magnet is still good. Magnets hold strong

This is about the 3 inch round mirror with the magnetic base. It's from China but I could not be more impressed. It's very sturdy, the magnet is way stronger than expected. This one is used in an industrial manner, on a crimper that runs 6 to 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Should it fail I will update this review.

Great mirror I use for welding in tight spots on work good but the only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 it should be able to extend a little more, but the magnet oh yeah holds good

The mirror is every bit of 3.25" and the unit is quite top heavy. This shouldn't be a problem due to the magnet. However, the magnet is extremely weak and It does not effectively stick to any metals. I tested it several times to even confirm that it was indeed a magnet. At best, there is the slightest hint of attraction to ferromagnetic metals. Even if the magnet was 10x stronger it still would not provide the needed support for the mirror. That makes this unit useless.

The magnets could be alot stronger. My first night welding 2 of them fell off the tube and broke all to pieces.

I got this for mirror for my husband's snow blower, because he said he couldn't see the auger spinning from behind. The magnet holds very firm and the mirror adjusts to show exactly what he needs to see. He's very happy with it. Thanks for a wonderful product!
