My mare has sweet itch and flies love her. I got a suggestion to add Garlic to her diet. I tried this and she ate it up and after about 3 weeks I noticed a significant difference in the amount of flies landing on her. Now I cannot get away with using just this to help reduce the bugs on her, but it sure has made a difference in the flies landing on her and makes her more comfortable during the bug season.This is flakes and easier to mix in with her pellets. Once I finished this bag, I mistakenly purchased another brand and it was powdered, which seemed to be an issue as I found it still in her bucket or all over her face, so I had to water it down.I will stick to this product for her.It is worth a try!

My mustang filly doesn’t like garlic but the two half brothers will eat anything. Seems to work on less flies. I have to feed the filly a more expensive version of fly go away products…

My mustang was plagued by gnats. I doubt there were any in the area he came from in NV but they love him here in SC. I hated they got in his eyes and made them run and itch and around his sheath. This garlic seems to have helped a lot. I wouldn't say it solved the eye problem totally and I keep a fine mesh mask on him all the time...but it has helped in general. Have been using it for two summers now. It does help and my horse has no problem eating it even though it is pretty strong smelling.

I wish. But it has reduced flies in the barn a-lot. Ow how to get rid of green flies. They hurt

Two weeks of feeding daily and flies are still all over my mare and biting her. I'll keep trying it to see if it takes longer but so far not impressed.
