We bought these to keep a small dog from going under our bed. They would definitely stay standing better on carpet, but it serves its intended purpose. It does come with zip ties to attach to the legs to keep it in place, but we found it wasn’t super necessary once she realized we can catch her before she pulls it out at the corners. You may want to zip tie if the pet will be left alone in the space.We also used this outside to attach to the bottom of a fence that had almost 6 inch clearance. If your gate has good flat clearance, I would say staple gun this to the bottom for a perfect fix. Ours is uneven, so we have secured the ends up with two rocks leaning on it, but it works perfect! Honestly we will be buying more.TIP: when attaching two pieces together, hold them at a 90 degree angle and push the bar into the y grabbed part for a much easier time. Trying to push the y onto the straight bar part will not work and may bend or break the pieces.

The quality could be better as a few of them broke while setting them up, but they do the job of preventing my cats from going under the bed.

These were easy to install and work really well. My only complaint is that they don’t stay attached to each other very well so I had to put a small piece of tape between them to hold them together better

I have a rather adventurous terrier mix that loves going under things then digging on the carpet! He gets the zoomies then runs under my bed and has a good ol’ time because I can’t get him out. I bought these to act as a barrier to prevent him from going spelunking under my bed. They work great! I put them together then zip tied them to the legs of my bed. He’s 32lbs but can’t push them out of the way. I’ve had them set up for a while now and he has officially given up trying to get under there! I highly recommend them for keeping pets out of tight places you can’t remove them from.

The pieces provided can be linked. But the connectors are NOT quite deep enough to snap correctly and the adhesive hook strips are difficult to apply. If you make a miscalculation and try to reattach again, forget it.Don't bother with the shorter ones. Purchase the taller, longer type. I suggest the manufacturers and sellers simplify the instructions, provide better quality attachment devices. The zip ties are so tiny and break too easily.After HOURS of attempting to make it work, we managed. My husband and I are now experts with the product. Definitely a team effort.
