Very light and portable. I am using it inside the harness of my speedfly and paraglider. Had not yet tested on butt landing (and hope never will) so being light is a very good point.

This is just okay. It shifts around on me more than I'd like. I prefer the versions that are worn almost like shorts. Pads are a decent quality and you can pump them up, which is a cool feature. It's more practical when layered under a pair of leggings or over everything else, but then it shifts around more. I find myself opting for my other pair simply because they stay in place better. So just okay, might be nice for someone younger or someone who isn't doing much on their board.

Spray a bit of silicone lubricant into the air valve. This will keep the unit inflated, otherwise the air leaks out super quick. With this trick, I had to fill it up just one time per season and it’s been great

Good for new learners or people that just need extra protection. It actually works and is way more comfortable than the kind that are like shorts that go underneath your snow gear. It is a little more work to go to the bathroom, but you have more movement with this so learning with this on will be easier.

I've only recently started using an electric skateboard and wore a lot of protective gear as I'm also a motorcyclist. I was doing great, practicing circles, facing both inside and outside, S-turns and even figure 8's. Then, when I was finishing up, I fell and injured my hip. Nothing was broken, as I had it x-rayed, but OMG! I had trouble walking, pain for months, swelling and black and blue. Yikes!I learned my lesson and determined to find a solution. I have been trying some different butt and hip protectors. Most use foam and some include some bits of armor as well, which is nice. This one by Puramont offers a lot in the way of protection. It gives me some confidence that should I fall, I won't get hurt, or at least as much. They include a simple step-by-step photographs and instructions. Really, it's pretty simple. Put the small tube on the nozzle. Put the other end of the tube on chrome valve fitting. Turn counter-clockwise to open the valve and inflate. Turn clock-wise to close the valve. Remove the tube. They didn't really say how firm the air pressure should be. You'll have to do some trial and error. I pumped mine up pretty firm.If you stop pumping without turning the valve closed, you'll lose air.Bottom Line:This offers decent protection from falls... if you land on your butt. There is no side protection at all, so keep that in mind. Construction seems to be quite good, although I've just got this and haven't "tested" it yet with falling on it. I may even see if I can add a layer with a different protector, which would surely look funny, but might save me from a lot of pain.Recommended!

This does exactly what you need it to. It is easy to air it up and put it on. You can use it for more than snowboarding. I used it for tandem skydiving to make the landing easier on my butt and it worked great!! No more sore bum for me!

Being a seasoned snowboarder I didn't see using it myself but my wife or anyone else for that matter that is planning on learning how to snowboard, ski, skateboard, etc. could have a much better experience if they have one of these. It's a pretty neat design that incorporates a bunch of inflatable bubbles on a pad that are meant to dampen the fall on your hiney when doing any of the above mentioned sports. It comes with a pump that you use to inflate the bubbles and the more you pump the more the bubbles fill with air providing a higher level of dampening. It's actually a pretty nifty idea that I think is better than using straight up padding. The bubbles are quite large so the dampening effect is significant enough to make a difference. Now here is where people need to be mindful of expectations. Nothing, outside of a giant pillow, is going to completely eliminate any sort of impact from a fall....this included. It will reduce the impact making it feel less painful but it's not going to completely erase all the pain. What I don't really like about it is that I don't consider to myself to be fat by any means and even at the largest waist adjustment to the straps I could barely snap it in place. This thing is really meant for super skinny to skinny people. Also, when worn, it doesn't exactly feel very natural. It actually feels pretty uncomfortable when worn. It's rather stiff overall and doesn't feel very comfortable. Add your other clothing over it and it just starts to feel even worse and actually somewhat impedes your movement.I like the idea but overall with it's off sizing that is geared more towards tiny people and the fact that it's uncomfortable and bulky to wear I can't really give this anything other than just an average rating.

This butt pad protection is unique in a way that it wrapped around your butt on the outside of your pant. The pad has a lot of tiny air bubbles that can be inflated manually to meet your protection need. It designed mostly to protect you while snowboarding because snowboard falls on their butt or knee. The issue I have with this design is that it is uncomfortable to wear using the adjustable strap. This butt pad protection would be helpful for beginner snowboarders.
