The fabric is really nice and has a soft satin like back side that is light gray. It is not blackout curtains but “darkening†as it says in the title. It definitely blocks out the sun but is not blackout. I highly recommend if you want something that is good quality and not 30$ a panel. Also the print is super cute !

My daughter is obsessed with these curtiains! They match her room so well. They’re thick & silky, and almost look handmade! The silver fabric on the back almost gives them a blackout curtain effect, which, is super nice. I also like that the back is neutral because it doesn’t give an indication from the outside that it’s a child’s room (huge safety win) and that’s a big priority of mine. They’re very sturdy, and I can see them holding up for years to come. Great purchase!P.S this is a single panel curtain, but it’s the perfect size to completely cover a standard size, single pane window.
