I ordered these bar magnets to use in a science demonstration. My objective was to show kids the magnetic field of the bars using iron filings. However, when I sprinkled the filings on the paper, only a little clumped up at the ends of each bar. The rest of the filings were not affected and remained where they landed. There was absolutely no visualization of the magnetic field, aside from the sorry little clumps at each end.To see if it was the quality of the filings, I tested the magnets in other ways. They did not attract each other unless very close, and were really easy to take apart. They hardly picked up even the lightest metal objects. And, when I stuck them to my fridge with out even so much as a single sheet of paper, they slid right down the door and half the time fell off. Waste of money, terrible product, and now my demonstration is ruined.
