I love maps. My father taught me years ago about their value. As an adult in the armed forces, then later working in a field that required the regular use of maps, the usefulness of maps was continually affirmed. I believe in GPS; having one in each of my vehicles in addition to a handheld unit, and I have used them extensively for work, recreation, and travel. But even so, I would never plan a trip, start a trip, or a project, without having a paper map ready to hand. Traveling with a GPS and no map is not smart; if you can't have both, leave the GPS and take the map. I have found that these National Geographic maps are some of the best, especially for durability. And a paper map in hand serves as a note taking and tracking device to record where you have been and what you have seen. They are not cheap but they last far beyond the average travel kiosk freebie

National Geographic publishes high quality maps that clearly identify state and national parks, historic sites, Indian reservations, and other points-of-interest. This map is geared toward those who want to explore areas away from cities.

Good quality map. Google maps won't get you everywhere. Always good to have a map with you when traveling.

Very nice paper. I was hoping it had more detail regarding smaller roads in the area as we will be driving through pretty remote areas. But it seems to only mark out the highways and larger roads.

This map is highly detailed and accurate, informative of all routes, National Parks, National Monuments, State parks and up to date in the states routes as well as interstates. I highly recommend this map to anyone. Very informative as well. We are planning a trip to New Mexico and Arizona in October and we need something up to date.

Muito bom de informações e de boa qualidade de impressão.Nada como um bom mapa no papel para ter-se uma noção total da região. !!!

Nat Geo maps are usually clear to read but this is far to full of topographic details and road and especially place names are tiny and hard to see. Usual tough waterproof material.
