My husband installed this himself. He said it was easy to do. Everything works like it should. The only thing I dislike is the remote fits loosely in the holder. We leave it on the wall but when you try to push a button it moves around. Still overall happy with my purchase. My house is older and has a light switch that turns off plugs also so this is so much more convenient.

My hunter remote stopped working and this replacement was an identical replacement. Very easy to replace and install for all the DIY.

I bought this to replace a non-responsive remote receiver in a Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan that I had purchased several years ago. This unit was a direct replacement and the receiver was roughly the same size as the old one. The wiring was also the same, so the installation was straight forward. The transmitter is a little bigger than the original and takes a 2032 button cell battery. I really like the light dimming feature! There is one thing that it does which is strange, the receiver has a nice feature that when you start the fan on the slowest setting, the receiver starts in the highest speed setting for about two seconds to get the blades turning and then it automatically goes back to the slowest setting. However; for some reason while the fan is in the slowest setting, you can hear and see the receiver randomly kick in to the highest setting for about two seconds and then drop back to the slowest setting? There is no rhyme or reason to when it does this, it is very random. This anomaly doesn't bother me all that much, it's just weird. One more thing is that this receiver is louder than the original, there is an audible "click" that comes from the receiver when changing speeds. Other than those two things it works fine and I'm glad to have my fan working again!

Works like the original when it was new. A lot easier than replacing the entire fan.

The remote does not completely turn off the fan light (dim). Must use pull chain fan unit to completely to turn off. Return unit and will try again with same unit (reorder). Fan motor operation OK. Suprise that this old unit, controller had battery inside (USED) New unit no battery, everything work OK with new unit

My fan did not like the substitute for some reason, could of been a programming remote learning issue ? Don't know, wired fan directly to switch power, and used mechanical speed and direction switch chains which dangle down from fan was the solution when OEM electronic remote board fried. Open up original OEM board and notice capacitor and diode smoked, board burned.

Easy to install. Needed a replacement remote kit for a Hunter fan. Got it installed in 1/2 hour. Easier than the original that came with the fan. Wires are clearly labeled which is great.
