Necessary for all who ride in cold weather. This inner panel creates a separated and insulated barrier from the cold outer face shield and so minimizes the warm humid breathing condensation (fogging). It still happens but it’s much less so you don’t have to open the shield unless slow or stopped for extended periods. If you are crazy like me riding in sub-freezing temperatures you must have one. Regular cold rides I also highly recommend it. It works great and although it doesn’t cover the whole shield, direct view is perfect. Peripheral vision is still great and only very slightly affected. Application is easy if you’ve ever applied a phone screen protector. Thanks for reading.

I leave for work at 6am when my helmet and my breath is warm and the outside air during these cold months is freezing. Having my visor dog up to the point I can't even see the brake lights on the car in front of me is a huge issue. I have to take my hands out of my warm heated bar mitts and open my visor when I'm coming to a stop so I can see. The only other option is holding my breath for as long as possible to try to stop the fog. I bought this instead of rainX anti fog (which works perfectly but doesn't last for more than a week or so) because I was tired of constantly having to redo the rainX to stop the fog then when I run out of forget to reapply it I have fog again. I should've stuck to the rainX because this little thing doesn't work even a tiny bit. When my visor starts to fog I can see the untreated bare plastic visor and I can see this weird sticker thing and they both fog up literally identically the same. There is ZERO difference between this sticker and bare untreated plastic visor. Don't waste your money.

I ride year round. 22k miles a year, so a lot of cold weather riding, I prefer 3/4 helmet, prior to adding always had fogged up helmet, first day with this added 20 degrees for 80+ miles NOT one bit of fog on helmet. Perfect.
