This item worked well for a high school physics demonstration I ran to relate concepts of force, velocity and momentum. It fits into a 3/4" hole and has small holes on the exterior face for mounting to a wood panel with screws if desired. The yellow plastic tip as received was too stiff to put on the end of the shaft; I wound up soaking it briefly in very hot water to make it flexible enough to slip on.

So i guess this is part my fault for not double checking, however when something says universal, I assume it means it will fit the item i am installing it into. That being said; I purchased this "universal" shooter for a standard pinball and the thing is significantly shorter than the original shooter. After verifying that the one I was replacing was not of an odd size I figured I would warn others looking for a new shooter to get your measurements before jumping on this one.Besides that the shooter is solid. One piece makes it a lot more durable.

I purchased this for a science Olympiad device. Unfortubately, of t is way too heavy for me at I needed it for.
