Very solid feel and build. This will get used when I tear down my 1.8L engine.On the downside, I'd like the screw in the center to be a little longer. I'll have to run to the hardware store to "upgrade" to something more suitable.

This is a very heavily built puller, I would say the photos do not really do it justice in terms of size or heft.Like all pullers this fits certain pulleys/sheaves/gears and not others, which is to be expected. But having a nice rigid design generally makes them much easier to use and/or more effective in my experience.Would be nice if the center drive screw were longer but I could substitute another or add some sort of spacer if needed.This review was for "Universal Ribbed Drive Pulley Crankshaft Remover Tool Puller for A/C Unit Water Pumps Automotive"

So goes it with tools, "universal" or "master set" does not necessarily mean it will work for your needs. This puller will not work on a Ford Ranger v6 balancer. The balancer is smooth and has a ribbed pulley bolted to it. The pulley is not rigid enough to withstand force from a puller.On the positive side,1. this puller is adjustable and includes a hex key.2. The center bolt has a roller ball on the tipOn the negative side,1. The center bolt is rather short and rather small diameterThis might be just the tool for your application, but it would not work on a Ford Ranger v6.
