I replaced an aging Paperwhite with a regular Kindle (I like the smaller form factor) and decided I didn't want the added weight and bulk of a cover that clips on to the Kindle. But I need something to protect it when I'm carrying it about especially if it is in a backpack or a bag. While the case isn't the exact same color as the Kindle it is pretty close and it serves its purpose admirably. The flap is just a flap, it doesn't have a magnetic closure or anything like that. You can secure it by tucking it in, but I generally don't. The Kindle fits fairly snugly so unless you held the case upside down and shook it the kindle wouldn't come out even without the flap tucked in.It protects the Kindle when it needs to, and when I'm reading I am only holding the Kindle without anything else getting in the way. That does mean though that you have to use the button to turn the Kindle on and off, but the smaller weight/size vs close to sleep is a trade off that works for me.I am also pleased I selected the regular Kindle, but that will be for a different review.

It's pretty, the cost is good, and it protects my kindle well. It's not as bulky as I thought it would be either!

Bought this to prevent scratching. I use a page turner with my clicker and the clicker doesn’t work with most covers. This does the job. It’s durable, soft, small and light weight but effective at preventing scratches. Snug fit but easy to get in and out. I doubt this would work if you have a cover though. Most likely would need to remove it. Good value.

EXACTLY what I wanted : a simple minimalist sleeve. I didn’t want to put a rubber case on a sleek small device like the basic Kindle and this sleeve is perfect. I just fold the flap inside the sleeve all the time and just slide the kindle in and out when I need it.Simple.(I even bought a screen protector, but honestly I didn’t put it on and don’t see the need for it now I have this sleeve.)

This protects my Kindle without adding too much weight or bulk. The flap to secure the device is a little fiddly, so I don't tuck it in often.Overall, this does the job. I'm happy with it.

I will say if you have a clear case on your kindle it is a TIGHT fit. Especially getting it out. But it will stretch as you use it more, overall its worth the protection!

Bought this to stop continously scratching my Kindle. Fit's perfect and leather is very elegant. However, the stitching came apart a week after it arrived. Easy to repair....just be prepared for that.

Used the PW sleeve for a basic with a clear bumper cover and pop socket holder. Works great.

Nice, light and sturdy sleeve. Very soft synthetic material / faux leather.The flap does not have any fasteners, like magnet or button and. Thus, unless you tuck it in, stays "open".Dust is visible on this sleeve (i.e. if you place it on a dusty table top, for example, it sticks to the sleeve)

A delightful cover for my new kindle. Good quality leather. Soft and supple. Kindle fits in perfect and the flap secures it. Would definitely buy again.
