I was able to install this easily over my thermostat. This should prevent people adjusting this on a whim. I installed it with about an hour of its arrival. Clean appearance too.

Easy to install. Opens and closes good. Looks good. Case is light duty security. Good for home. I’d buy again if needed but if for a commercial application, I’d suggest a more substantial case

I bought this clear lockable "thermostat" box not for a thermostat which it would be good for, but to add safety and protection to 2 whole-house energy monitors connected to fuse box and mounted on the wall. It works well for that, allowing easy sight of the readings while keeping the curious away from the electrical contacts on back of box.

The installation was straight forward. It did stick out a bit more from the wall than I would like. I was installed for a Day before we realized the lock mechanism wasn't working properly. The Cover could be opened without a key and just a little nudge. The door opened when we bumped it (even though locked) and it broke the entire unit.

Basically a good unit. Loss of 2 stars because it is so basic, everything about it should be perfect. The swinging lock arm is loose when locked. It does lock, no problem. Just why is it so loose????
