The hardware is good quality. It is an okay budget-friendly board mount. It is not quite as convenient as other styles of mounts, but it works.

I read somewhere that there was a chrome plating. Cheap chrome plating is sure to rust… so first thing I did was hit everything with brake cleaner to make sure it didn’t have any solvents on the metal to protect it. Then I threw it in a bag of salty water for a few hours. After pulling it out and letting it air dry, it still looked good. Then put a little vinegar on it - fizzled a little but still no rust after drying. I did this a couple times… good enough for me.Materials - the bolts, nuts and thumb screws look like stainless to me. The only thing that isn’t stainless is that little metal sleeve. It looks like a zinc coating. I don’t see anything that looks like chrome.I mounted this to my ladder rack with some 10mm nutserts. The threads are M10x1.5My truck is a daily driver, so most of the time I will not have these mounted. No issues with them. Everything is solid and it torqued down well. Great product.
