My 89 chevy with bench seat has very little storage. This thing stays put in the center of the bench without straps. It adds cups holders, looks nice, and is an arm rest. There is a little empty space under the cup holders which could have storage built in, but it's a small matter.

I would not use this in a smaller vehicle unless you don't care you don't have room for 2 people in the back. This is quite large. But oh is it nice! You can fit a 40oz metal tumbler in each cup holder which is awesome! It has a strap kind of tie down to keep it situated in your seat so it doesn't move around. Kind of like a kids seat. It also plugs into your cigarette plug to give it power. It has a couple USB ports to charge your phone or even power up things like tablets or portable DVD players or game systems! I also has a phone holder!The center console has alot of room to hold things. My kids love it. Gives them room to put all their things in the back and they don't have to worry about bringing external chargers or ask me to charge their phones and not be able to use them while they charging because they are upfront.This would also be super nice even in the front in a vehicle that doesn't have a center console and has floor board room to put it ! I absolutely recommend this for anyone who spends alot of time in their car with kids or other people! It's well worth it!And so simple to install!
