How do I mount a metal cutter to a hand drill?
Installing the Balance Fixing Auxiliary Bar
The half circle for mounting the balance bar hangs onto the screw bar as shown and is tightened with a screwdriver
Mounting to the drill
Insert the spindle of the cutter into the tongs of the electric drill and lock it tightly
Binding the balance bar
Simply tie the end of the counterbalance bar to the handle of the hand drill with a spring
Ready to cut plates
When cutting sheet metal, the sheet must be at 90 degrees to the gears for proper cutting.

The sparse documentation doesn't specify by word or by picture a few things, but in combination with the photos in the Amazon listing, I was able to determine that there are different assembly and mounting instructions for corded and cordless drills, so some included parts won't be used. I also realized that a screw that is shown as already inserted into one of the two cutting wheels was not installed and not included, although I had a similar machine screw that fit. I'm not sure if that screw was even necessary since the wheel needs some play to it.Those complaints aside, the device does what it says it will, although it can't quite handle close to a millimeter thickness of steel as claimed. Thinner sheeting gets sliced easily. Steering along a line took me a bit of getting used to. I would not like to cut a lot of sheet metal like this, relatively slowly and without great control. But for quick and dirty cuts without much setup, it's a nice option.

Really unique and awesome set up. I am surprised at how well this works. Ive always seen these and expected them to not work well and feel cheap. This actually works really well. I use it on a daily basis in my Auto Body shop and its still been cutting like its new. I'm a bit worried about when it becomes dull but for now its been and awesome addition to my tool box.Its a bit difficult to cut sharp edges but I fee like thats to be expected. I have had any issues at all. It goes on very easy it stays put on the drill while cutting. Its easy to take off in a hurry if you need your drill for other things.

I needed something to make clean cuts in my hvac duct and this is just what I needed. Set up was very simple on my battery operated drill, chuck up the adapter, screw the support rod to the cutter head and add the retaining spring. I tested it out on a section of tile edging that is roughly 1/16" thick and it cut smoothly rolling the cut section out of the way, I was actually surprised how quickly it cut with my low power drill! Next onto the real project, cutting and moving duct work.

This unit cuts flat sheet metal very well. It was a bit difficult to adapt it to my large cordless drill, but made it work. Probably fits smaller drills very well.Look forward to trying it on thick cardboard appliance cartons.

Wasn’t too hard to put on the drill. Directions are limited and still trying to figure it out. It cuts really fast. I had to turn the speed down on my drill. First try it shot across the sheet metal in seconds.It’s adjustable but i haven’t figured out how to set it yet. Out of the box it cut the metal i had. There are no instructions on setting the thickness of the material you’re cutting. It does cut and leaves a clean edge.
