It is a really good model overall, however I think I would prefer one without the colors and just the outlines. The mold to make this does not have the finest details, but it is really close. Every section is labeled on the skull on each section on top of the painted surface. The paint was not applied very carefully or thoroughly. Some of the darker colors (red in particular) make it difficult to read the labels. The skull (cap) is removable which lists the inside of the skull, too and is held in place by magnets and prongs. The mandible (jaw) is held by rubber straps and a spring. I would have liked some literature or a pamphlet with it like others offer. Overall, it's a really good model and I am happy with it.

I selected this skull to use in my sciece classroom when I teach on the various parts of the body, specifically, the skeletal system which I have a large focus on the bones of the skull. I appreciated the full size of this skull which demonstrates quality in the manufacturing process. I also liked how each part of the skull was color coded and had the name of the bone etched into the durable ABS material. Additionally, I appreciated that the skull detached at three location which made teaching more interactive. I also liked how the mandible was spring loaded and allowed for manipulation of the jaw. Overall, this is a durable and quality learning tool that has benifited me greatly in my classroom. I am very pleased with the functionality of this product.
