They are as advertised - solid cast steel heavy duty gate hinges. They're a bit more expensive than the fabricated ones, but MUCH better quality. Worth the extra few dollars.

These are stainless steel gate hinges. I live 1/2 mile from the ocean and need gate hinges with superior rust resistance. These are well made. Very heavy. Each hinge is rated for 600 pounds. I do not doubt that. The issue, as I see it is, there are only 2 screw holes in each hinge. Good luck finding a 3/8 diameter screw that will hold 300 pounds. Good hinges, but realistically, you're not going to be able to install a 600+ pound gate with two of these.

These hinges are just what we needed for our walk through gate. It swings opens both ways. great purchase.
