This Round insert tool holder does a decent enough job for roughing cuts but the inserts aren’t sufficient quality to provide a smooth finish on final pass. Something that should be far superior with round inserts over pointed inserts. The turning bars do seem stout enough to function well once better quality inserts are acquired.

The shanks are tight for the AXA-100 style holders I have but will fit some of them. The carbide inserts are relatively sharp and clean and are easy to mount with the supplied wrenches.All in all a nice affordable kit. 5 Stars.How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. These tool holders work fine, I wanted a carbide insert tool for putting radius features onto parts. These do exactly that. The carbide inserts however are trash. Measure them and find some higher quality inserts (it will take some time, they are not standard..)

This seems like a pretty generic low-quality tool, I think it should be lower priced.

These UpJiaFlarish SRAPR1616H10 & SRAPL1616H10 Lathe Tool Holders with RPMT10T3 Carbide Inserts worked well when cutting high strength steel. Although it was not perfect I obtained the best surface finish with light cuts and low speed.
