I absolutely love this spray liner! I was initially nervous using it for my first vehicle paint job with Raptor liner, but I’m thrilled with the results.I mistakenly purchased the 10 Able, so I bought a black tint to match the original, and it turned out great. I painted it in a covered area and let it cure for a day before taking it outside.The key to a successful application is preparation—making sure everything is sanded, cleaned, and primed if needed. When spraying, I found that a distance of about 12 to 16 inches at 50 psi worked best for me.I’m really happy with the outcome and have already ordered more for another project!

I have now Raptor lined three cars/Trucks this last summer. My VW beetle turned out awesome however even thought it is a small car it took the whole gallon kit to paint. Stating with a base yellow color one car that we scratch coated first, I used six of the bottles mixed with yellow John Deere tractor tint. I painted the fenders with Black ebony tint mixed and two bottles. Overall I am very pleased with how the color turned out.My son and I did his Dodge Dakota in a OD Green tint and it turned out awesome. Be aware that the color of the final product is usually going to be a little lighter than you anticipate so go just a shade or two darker than you want. We had good adhesion on the Od green truck as we Primed the whole body in Auto primer Grey first since we had done alot of small body work getting dents out and whatnot, The Raptor liner stuck well and we had no issues with peeling or anyting. You do want to take the tape off the windows and wherever your didnt want paint to get quickly or it can dry and lift up on the places you wanted paint.We also painted my Sons Dodge Ram 1500 in a Safety blue that is truly beautiful, he loves it. The only issue again is the truck was already blue and much larger than the bug or the Dakota so we left it and just scratched up the surface with 60 grit sandpaper. So after my son had been drivng the truck to work and school for a couple weeks he was parked next to a friend whom accidetnaly opened his door and it dinged the paint. Well it left a fifty cent piece of missing Raptor liner in its wake. This never happened on either the other projects when hit or smacked into. The only difference is that we did not prime the car first just did the scratch up before adding the raptor liner. I WOULD RECOMMEND ALWAYS PRIME so the product has a very good surface to stick to. Everything came in metal cylinder cans not plastic bottles! The spray gun is great quality

After a month of body and prep work on my 89 chevy, i decided on going with a raptor tintable kit. Went to my local auto paint store and got a metallic green base without binders from PPG. I applied etch primer to cover all bare metal after I scuffed everything I was going to paint. I used a 180 and 220 nylon wheel as well as foam sanding blocks. Tried to get the nooks and crannies and went easy on sharp edges. Got everything super clean. Don't cheap out on dollar store tape, get the good stuff that sticks the best, i learned the hard way. Once it's taped, apply grip#4 even on areas where it's been scuffed. 4 cans was enough to hit every inch of my truck for 2 coats total with a 15 minute drying period in between. Once it's dry your ready to mix and shoot. Set the psi at your gun to 50ish. The higher the pressure the more material and the quicker it piles up. If your doing a custom color, your first coat will look bad. You dont want to just pile and pile this stuff on in 1 coat. Spray about 6-8 inches away moving quickly. You just want to put down a good 1st coat to build up on. The 2nd coat should cover most of your patches but you might still have some spots depending on color amd the color your covering them up. A 3rd coat, if necessary, sprayed slightly further away should cover everything with no spots left with a slightly rougher finish. I went a step further and did a 4th coat 12 inches away at 45 psi with quick passes and it came out pretty gritty. I let it dry in my garage for a week then moved it outside under the sun for a week to cure. If I could change anything I would have just stuck to white or black as you don't need any custom base paint to spray. I had a little slip of the screwdriver attaching trim on the tailgate and it left a whitish scratch that i can't cover up as the base paint without the bedliner material is alot darker. My polo dark metallic green came out alot lighter than i was expecting. The white or black would just be alot easier to hide and maintain. If you overspray one color on to another because of really poor tape it's ok, just order another can of grip#4 before reapplying more raptor over the already cured material. And again get the best masking tape you can... it's hard to get it to stick to raptor liner if your doing a 2 tone paint job like mine where both parts are raptorliner. All in all I used 12 liters of tintable and 12 liters of black for my entire truck including door jambs. With other prep mats it was about $900 plus my time altogether. Sounds like alot but compared to line x and them quoting me $4800 for a similar bedliner job, I'm very happy with the results. The added coats and slow build up definitely paid off. Definitely gets my truck compliments and looks. Only time will tell how it holds up. I will update periodically. Good luck if doing this to your truck!-6 month update-Surprisingly so far it's held up very well all around. There are a few tiny spots where i didn't get it perfectly clean and flaking occured but these are almost pinpoint size spots and only a few of them. Last 2 pics are most current. Will update in another 6 months.-1yr update-Well the outside is holding up well. No scratches on the lower panels from little rocks kicked up from the road. Still looks great too. I say the outside because the bed took a bit of a beating... Hauled home some F350 D60 and Sterling axles to swap under my Chevy. To be fair, they are the heaviest sobs that I have ever wrestled out of my truck alone. After a few hours they came out but they took some bedliner with it. I'm pretty sure I've seen some very heavy things drug accross LineX without blankets and it still held. I used blankets and tarps and the 4 coats of Raptor just couldn't hold up. I'm saving to get Line-x in my bed but I'm still going to keep the Raptor on the outside as it's held up great. I kinda figured this when I started this project last year but I thought I'd give it a try. No matter how many coats you do, it'll never hold up like a good thick LineX coating. If you want a rough easy to maintain paint alternative this serves that purpose great.

Great product. Easy to paint on. The only thing I found difficult is after adding harder and tint the bottle was practically full. I couldn't get a good mix with shaking. I ended up splitting 50/50 through the used bottle after first spray. After that mixing went better.

I used 13 bottles to paint my 2003 Tacoma with 4 coats including the door jambs and finishing with a "dust coat".The bright white matches the stock Toyota Super White really well. I painted the bed but ended up reinstalling the plastic bedliner that came with the truck when it was new, since it was still in really good condition. One of the reasons I painted the truck is that the bedliner had worn through the paint in a couple of places. I don't think that's going to happen with the Raptor Liner.I painted the bumpers and the grill with black Raptor Liner and the only badge I kept is the chrome one you can see on the grill.It was super easy and I think it looks amazing!
