Fits perfectly in my 2004 Mini and works well. I just installed it, so I can't commenton how long it'll last. The original one started leaking after 20 years,and this is a replacement. The gasket went out on the original, and thereplacement gasket looks good. Since the old one lasted 20 years and wasplastic, I figured there's no need to spend extra $$ for a brass screw.

OK, I gotta say that this was pretty expensive for a small piece of plastic, but I'm sure that it's a LOT cheaper than if I had to purchase the same item at the dealer. It fit perfectly and thus far has held up, so our BMW is on the road again, so it's hard to complain too much.

Oh look, it's that stupid Fing screw that falls and lands on top of the Aero underbody shield of your E46 3 Series ZHP or M3 every time you try to put it back in and since your cooling system is pressurized and designed by retards who didn't make the resivoir tank strong enough for the amount of pressure, and placed this screw in a spot that is hard to put it back. Also since it is a pressurized system you cannot drive your car without it. Now you can either jack up the car and remove the underbody panel, in the cold, and spend about 2 hours getting the part out since you cannot see where it went, or reach it without removing the panel, or you can order this cheap replacement and wait 2 days for prime shipping better yet order 2 or three before you touch this screw on your vehicle to begin with.

I bought this as a back-up to keep in my truck. I lost the old plastic one and replaced it with a brass one. This is just a backup as I installed the brass one. I prefer the brass ones.

Die Schraube kam schnell und gut verpackt an. Und sie passt.Eine kleine Anmerkung: Natürlich ist diese Schraube aus Kunstoff, natürlich kann sie brechen. Und das soll sie auch! Im Deckel des Ausgleichsbehälters befindet sich ein Überdruckventil. Wenn dieses ausfallen sollte sucht sich der aufbauende Druck eine Schwachstelle.Und hier kommt diese Schaube aus Kunstoff ins Spiel. Im Notfall übernimmt sie durch ihr Nachgeben die Aufgabe des Überdruckventils.Tipp: Kauft euch gleich zwei oder drei falls beim manuellen Entlüften das Ding brechen sollte (passiert wenn sie einige Jahre alt ist).

item looks the same as one in bmw 325 radiator but the thread is different and needs to be a larger therad to fit but i got another one from main deler when i was away .
