Perfect fit, doesn't leak, won't break after a couple of years of aging. The original plug had a small leak and could not be removed without using an ez-out bolt extractor. You should change this at your next coolant flush because if the plastic breaks and all the coolant leaks out, you can destroy your engine.

I'm glad I stumbled on this for my 2007 328xi. I'm a maintenance freak so am draining the coolant pretty often. As others have stated the stock plastic drain plug is pretty much one time use. I expect this one to last the life of the vehicle.

Exactly what BMW should have had in the first place!

I snapped off the plastic OEM plug when trying to remove. Rather than ordering another plastic one I decided to go this route and get the brass plug. It fit perfectly and was a much better part than the OEM plastic part and this one will not snap off next time I need to drain the radiator, if ever.

Looks like a quality part, but it arrived too late for installation. Ended up having to buy a new plastic one from bmw...

When changing the coolant on my '07 328i, the coolant drain plug broke off. It is made of plastic and gets brittle over time. This piece completely fixes the problem.

The plastic one needs to be replaced every time you remove it or you taking chances on reliability so this eliminates that.
