I usually have very good luck with URO parts products but this fan control module stopped working two days after installing in my 2001 Volkswagen GTI.After installing, the fans cycled as normal and the auxiliary water pump worked as it should but then the fans cycled on and off multiple times and then stayed on when turning the key and right after start up when cold and stayed on the entire time while driving. Visually, externally the markings, it's the same as the OEM one I removed but internally, it was different.

Well I can't believe this part is on Amazon, and so inexpensive, I went junkyard searching for one of these and it didn't work on my car. Ordered this one and now my AC is working like a champ!

The engine fans on my 03 Jetta were not working, so I took it to a shop. They were unable to identify the issue and wanted to charge for multiple (possible) issues. Instead, i brought it home and ordered this product for a fraction of the cost. This fixed the problem and has not had issues in about 7 months.

Junk brand for this part. First one I ordered died in about 5 weeks. (It caused continuous power issues after the ignition was turned off.) Returned and bought second one. While it worked, it's performance was sub-par. (Not turning on at the right point all the time, power surges when it switched, etc...) This might be one of those VW/Audi parts where you have to bite it and get OEM or at least OEM manufacturer.

When I got this part I could hear something loose inside, which made me worry a bit, but I installed it anyway. Sadly it didn't fix my problem. (AC compressor wouldn't turn on.) Couldn't be sure it was a bad part so I left it in the car until I got another replacement (used OEM from eBay). New replacement worked perfect so I guess the one I got was bad. When I tried to remove it both of the nuts stripped through the plastic so I had to do a bit of extra work to get it off. I'm outside of the return window now so I can't even send it back it seems.

First had a faulty Ac pump clutch but the old FCM was only sending 7 volts to the clutch, put this in and it's fixed going on a a week now!

Old module was sending 6.5volts to the AC clutch. Not enough. Installed this and AC is working great now!
