Overall the surface skimmer works and the only negative was the pump I have is the one that came with the pool. So it did not have a strong enough suction to perform 100%, even though it is still collecting bugs, and some leafs. Installing it was very easy and had multiple options.

I put this U.S. Pool Supply Premium Pool Surface Skimmer on the side of my 15 foot round Intex Pool. This skimmer is the best! It stays against the wall, the plastic piece that holds the basket in is long, so it doesn't bob up and down at all... and no need to weigh down the basket. All of the pieces that come for the Skimmer are high quality. It can be used for two types of pools (see description). This surface skimmer picks up the tiniest pieces of dirt and works way better than the other Blue/White Filter that I've been using for years. Cleaned up the pool in one night with filter running.

This skimmer is ok for anybody just looking to have a skimmer without making any alterations to your pool. Not very effective. It catches some debris. The design is it's flaw. Plastic after 1 season is noticeably faded from contact with the chlorinated water. Looks to be susceptible to becoming brittle. I'll find out this next season. Go with a different product, with a better design to not allow debris to miss the skimmer. Better yet, get a hold of your pool manufacturer and get their advice on approved alternative skimmers

This is an updated to a review I left after installing it. I was really happy with it. It seemed to work better than the intex skimmer. As long as no one is in the pool, and it is set at the perfect height, it works pretty good. But I’ve noticed over the last couple times we have entered the pool, if there are bugs and such in it at the top, everything just splashes out and ends up floating back in the pool. I ordered an Intex skimmer just before writing this update. I like that this one sits perfect and is smaller, but the functionality of it, is disappointing.Really sad, cause I like the looks and the size of it.

I didn't have the right fitting for the intake so I cut the intake off an old pool and rigged it. Worked out great!

After 10mins of the installation, the surface of the pool was clean. Remember to keep it clean before you swim or the collected debris will flow out.
