I bought this product to plug in a set of PC speakers to the USB port on a KVM. It worked perfectly. The speakers were recognized as USB speakers on both computers connected to the KVM and sound just as good on both. I'll be looking for this brand when I have cable requirements in the future.

This the second product I ordered that did not fit what I needed. The advertising appeared to be exactly what I need. But when they arrived, the connections were too small for my headset. My mistake I guess. Will eat these two orders.

The adapter worked perfectly. It was so easy to use, all you had to do was plug and play. The speakers worked again.

I needed this to hookup the speakers in a new monitor for them to work. This also provides a convenient microphone jack for use when recording video on the computer.

UPDATED REVIEW:Dukabel contacted me and they were very gracious about the whole thing. While I ultimately figured out the problem on my own, they were very proactive about trying to help solve my problem. I've updated my review from 2 stars to 5.The answer: The mic input on this unit is MONO BALANCED TRS (tip ring sleeve). The tip carries the mono signal, the ring carries the ground and the sleeve carries the bias power. Classic headphones/earbuds and devices like mp3 players are STEREO UNBALANCED TRS where the tip is left, the ring is right, and the sleeve is ground. My police scanner is the same. Trying to run a basic TRS cable from the scanner to this mic input doesn't work. Long story short, I need to buy a couple adapters to split my left and right into two unbalanced mono signals, then convert one of them into a balanced mono signal and send that to this device's input. So - I learned something today, and also this unit isn't defective - you just have to be careful what you plug into the mic input.END UPDATED REVIEWORIGINAL REVIEW:The unit is plug and play, just like others have said. The problem I'm having is the microphone (pink) input does not work when using a 3-pole plug like Dukabel claims. I've tried multiple microphones that all use the 3-pole plug exactly like their picture and it doesn't work when the plug is all the way in. If I jimmy the input plug sort of half way it works, but it won't stay there so I've resorted to tape to hold the plug and the Dukabel input together just right. Even then any vibration around will cause it to cut in and out. I've written to Dukabel support and they haven't written back. I'll give them another day or two but if they don't have a solution I'll send it back and try another brand.I'm being generous by giving them two stars - if all you need is an output and don't care about a faulty input then for eight bucks i guess it's fine.END ORIGINAL REVIEW

I've been trying to get some gear together to stream on Twitch, and one of the things I wanted to play was my 3DS, which needs a 3.5mm cable connected to a mic port to get the sound into my computer. My Macbook Pro only has the one audio out port, so I started off buying this recommended 3.5mm TRRS -> TRS/TRS splitter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FB8LCQ7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Which worked... 25% of the time. It was a total hassle. So I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MQZ255K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1Which worked... none of the timeI don't blame Dukabel, since the splitter worked fine for my phone and tablet (both from 2019), but I don't know if it struggled with my MBP because it's a laptop, or because it's from 2012, but either way I wouldn't suggest either of those 3.5mm TRRS->TRS splitters. But this isn't about that!I decided to try this USB version of the TRS splitter from Dukabel, and it works 100% of the time. I think it's because they put a soundcard in the head, but I have absolutely no issues on my 2012 MBP and am super happy. I did however notice that the USB head sticks out a lot from my laptop, so I decided to purchase a USB extender cable as well so that I didn't need to worry about it bending or breaking or anything: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VSG93G3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1It works just fine with the extender!I think the best part about this is that I can just plug the 3ds audio into the mic and my computer recognizes it right away. That sounds obvious, but literally nothing else could do that for me. Even the 3.5mm splitter I used first wouldn't do it unless I had a TRS mic and a TRS headset plugged in, and then once my computer saw the mic, I could swap it to the 3ds. Anyone using an older MBP like me trying to stream external audio, skip the 3.5mm splitter and just use this USB splitter. It'll save your life.

Il manque juste une Étoile car le son pourrait être mieux ! Mais dans l'ensemble c'est bien ! Un bouton pour le volume serait le bienvenue !
