Nicer than I was expecting for only $31.99 at the time of this review. I'm impression by this alarms construction and that it is extremely loud (i.e. at full volume it is painful to stay close to it without ear protection), and I believe it could certainly cause a thief to reconsider tampering with your property. You certainly need to combine this with other locks and chains, for the main function of it is to draw attention, not to prevent someone from leaving with your bike.I often park and lock my bike outside of a Starbucks while I'm inside. When set to full volume, I find I can clearly hear the arming chirp inside the store. So I know that it will gain my attention, should someone disturb my bike. Other customers will certainly notice (and be annoyed), though hopefully the warning chirps will be enough to cause a potential thief to moving along. The FOB has decent range and can be armed/cancelled from inside of the store. The advertised distance of 82 feet appears to be accurate. I appreciate that this comes with a spare FOB, incase you lose or break one, though they are a bit cheesy, with small hard to read buttons. I would have prefered that the arm and unarm buttons were larger that of most car alarm FOBs. It has 5 buttons (arm, unarm, bell, volume, and light). I personally would never use the bell or light (built in flashlight) on this FOB, and once the volume is set I'm unlikely to need to adjust that easily ( so that button should be recessed and/or smaller). Unfortunately in the case of these FOBs, all five buttons are nearly the same size, shape, and color. Oh well, small matter, but worth noting. The kit includes two different screw lengths and several rubber pads to adapt to various mounting needs, though the main thing I did not care for was how it looks mounted. The only spot that I could use the clamp on my lowstep ebike, was the seat post, and I was already using that real estate for securing a U-lock and/or my seat bag. It would make sense there if the red ring functioned as a tail light, however that is not the case. So you may need to get creative. Also keep in mind you need to keep the USB-C charging port on it accessible, or be able to remove the entire alarm for charging. Lastly you likely want to make is difficult for a bike thief access to quickly access it; assuming they would want to break if off the bike and smash it. With all that in mind, I chose to place it up under my seat and attached it to the rails with a thick zip tie, making it near invisible ( and less unsightly), and out of the way of my seat bag. Also out of the weather, and hard to get to short of cutting the zip tie, and digging it out. There is still just enough room to attach the charging cable for with this arrangement I will be charging it in place while it remains attached to the bike. As mentioned, the red ring does NOT function as a tail light, however it does indicate charging/charged, as well as FOB interactions. I believe the alarm sound is coming through the ring gap inside of the red ring, so I would not recommend angling the ring upward for fear it could fill with water, and damage the unit, or reduce the volume. Another good reason to place it under the seat.Congratulations, and thank you for read this far. Based on my experience so far, I recommend this alarm, though also recommend using it in combination with some substantial locks to keep an expensive bike safe. Unfortunately, there are shameless bike thieves that will likely be undeterred by a load alarm, or even heavy locks, so all you can do is call attention to the act, and slow them down, hoping it gives you and law enforcement, time to react, or give them reason to move along to an easier target.I highly recommend this alarm, and find it worth the cost and something I will recommend to friends and family.

What we love: This item really delivers on its promise of being an alarm: it is very sensitive (it has not failed our tests at least once!) and when the alarm goes off it. is. LOUD. The alarm is super easy to install and it includes everything you need to charge it. We appreciate that it is not made of plastic (or that it uses a plastic strap) as it uses aluminum alloy so we need not to worry about someone just breaking it or unstrapping it from our bike. What we like: We like that this alarm includes two remote controls which, just like the alarm, are charged via USB-C. All three items have a cover for the USB-C ports. They all charge quickly and the charge lasts a long while. We like that you are able to lower the volume via the remote as there are other alarms out there that do not offer this feature. It is worth nothing that the built-in "light" is super duper dim so do not think you will be able to use it as a flashlight, but it is just bright-enough to see something within three feet away.We did not deduct any stars from this item as the other alarm with tail light that people have been comparing it up against is a tad larger than this one. This item never claimed to be both an alarm and a tail light, so we find that comparing it with the other item is rather unfair. Besides, some of us already have a tail light and all we need is an alarm —as was our case. At full price this alarm may not seem like a good deal when compared to the other item, but at its current discount, it is a no brainer. So who is this alarm for? If you already own a tail light and simply wish to add an alarm to your bike this item is worth looking into, especially when discounted.

I put multiple alarms on my bike. I liked that this one mounted on the seat post. I like that it's fairly difficult to break it off. On the flip side of that coin it's also kinda a pain for when it needs recharged and I have to take the alarm off of my bike to take it upstairs and recharge it. I'll probably get a power bank to charge it with in the future. It does work very well and seems sensitive enough. It's definitely loud. I store my bike downstairs and the siren was very ear piercing. My room is directly above my storage room and I was able to easily hear the alarm from there. The remote also had no trouble working from that far away. I would have like it better if there had been an actual light involved. For the price I think that should have been the case. Other than that the alarm is great and adds another layer of security to my only mode of transportation. I'm giving this alarm a yes.

I got this as a motorcycle alarm. You have to have a round bar to put it on, which was an engine guard on my bike. There's some flexibility about the diameter of the bar thanks to some rubber shims they include. Make sure you put it where you can get to the charging port. You can adjust the volume. The quieter settings make me wonder.... why? I have just kept it maxed. The remote is intuitive. It's a bit bulky, but that makes it easy to use.The battery for the alarm lasted just over a month, which is about what the manufacturer claims. I tried recharging it from a battery bank for a phone, but that didn't work so well. I think the battery bank was timing out. An extension cord for the charging cable worked fine. All in all, I'm very pleased. I could see getting more of these for my other motorcycles - that have circular bars.
