The kit comes with two types of case protection plugs that are very effective and easy to remove. The hard plastic insert looks the best and fits snugly, while still able to be removed with fingernails. The silicone plug seems to be watertight, and fits more snugly. However, it generally requires a bit more wiggling to get it out. The silicone plug also collects a bit of pocket lint, so you may have to clean it off from time to time. I have used these on an iPhone 16 with a case and a beats earplug charging case.

For years, I’ve had an iPhone. It’s a great product, but on four occasions, that I recall, I’ve gotten debris of one type or another stuck in the charge port. Sadly, you don’t know it’s there until you plug in the Lightning connector to charge the phone; that forces whatever was in the way farther into the port. A few days ago I worked outside with a chainsaw and then my neighbor and I split three cords of wood with a log splitter. Needless to say we were covered with sawdust and chips. That evening, when I started to charge my phone exactly what I described earlier happened. After an hour, I managed to get the debris removed. I ordered this product to protect the charge port from debris. It arrived quickly, was well packaged, and fits perfectly. Now when I take my phone off charge in the morning, I insert the protector, which snaps in eaasily, remains there all day without coming loose, providing a secure seal and removes easily in the evening or whenever I need access to the port. It’s a great product at a great price and insurance that I should never again need to use a toothpick to clean out the charge port of my iPhone. If the need were to arise, I would definitely purchase this product again; it’s also a great practical inexpensive “ Stocking Stuffer†for family or friends on your Christmas list!

I have never heard of a dust plug for an iPhone until I come across this one. I have heard people talk about having problems getting stuff like lint and dirt in their ports and having to have them worked on I use a MagSafe charger and I keep a dust plug in both of my phones, and I think it really adds to the beauty of the phone plus the comfort of knowing that when you sell it or trade it in that there will be no problems with the port because it will never have been used a very good idea for an iPhone They stay in securely and they look nice a great invention. I’m glad I came across it.

The hard USBc connector falls out of phone port. Not good if you work. I was trying to keep the phone port clean since I work in crawl spaces, but the plug falls out making it no use. I only have the rubber ones left.

These port covers are much better made than another brand I purchased. I can slip it on when I'm out working in the garden to protect the port and remove the cover when I want to charge the phone.
