This worked great for the purpose I intended it for, to be able to connect both a USB C headphone adapter alongside a MIDI keyboard on a tablet. This is one of the very few adapters I found that actually allowed for multiple devices with a data connection as opposed to being a full blown hub with an enclosure, power-only splitter, or single device (headset or USB-C) with a separate power-in-only interface.I mention phones and tablets here simple because of the compact format. I'm sure it'd work just as well on a computer, but for that I'd just buy a typical USB hub.I'm not sure what the data throughput is like, as I'm only using this with very low-data throughput devices. I did notice that it doesn't seem to allow you to connect two devices and charge at the same time. Allowing for power input either via a data capable connection or additional power-only connection would be a nice addition to this device.

This splitter works nicely by allowing me to expand my USB-C connections on my desktop PC without needing an expansion card. At the moment, I only am using two of the three ports. I have connected a Datacolor Spyder X2 monitor color calibration device and a Vaydeer USB Volume Knob Multimedia Controller. Both are functioning as they should. If I were to connect a third device, I am confident it would also work fine. I chose this product over others.

I bought this so my 3 kids could use headphones with the same iPad and watch a show together. As soon as you plug in a 2nd output item, the first one shuts off, so even though there are 3 ports, only one of them can actually get sound at once. So it’s pretty useless to me.

This was for my daughter to charge her iPad, earbuds, and watch so she didn't have to use 3 different outlets. This does exactly as intended and she is happy.

If you are buying this splitter for connecting external drives or card readers, you will be very disappointed.I did a quick speed test comparing a direct connection of an external drive to my Mac, then connecting the same drive through this splitter. The connection through this splitter was 60% slower. The direct connection was ~90MB/s read and write, compared to ~30MB/s through this splitter.I ended up connecting my Web Cam, external speakers and Loupedeck to this splitter and this works fine - and free's up 2 USB ports!It works great for slower peripherals, but not recommended for external drives or card readers.

I used to charge the phone and airpods at the same time. So far so good.
