I’m setting up a nano bio bowl for some neocaradina shrimp for my night stand and I needed this pump to be as quiet as possible. This is the quietest air pump ever, flat out. The mini sponge filter is actually louder because of the bubbles, if they ever make larger versions of this pump I’m so buying them to replace all my tank’s current pumps. This is a smaller, and thus, lower powered pump, I’m using this in a 2.5 g so I’d stick to 1-3g tanks for this pump (make sure you find a mini sponge filter that’ll work with this, I found a mini sponge filter on here that says its made for 1-3g tanks)This is just an added bonus but the pump also comes with some flimsy airline and a airstone, which is a really nice add in especially for those who may not know how to use air pumps + sponge filters.I was able to make these two into a diy drip acclimation setup and it saved me 10$!Just attach the airstone to one side of the airline, and on the other end a few inches up, tie a simple knot. Suck some water on the knot side and boom you have a great drip acclimator, tighten the knot to slow the drip as needed. All in all this was such a great and cost effective purchase. It’s completely silent, comes with some great added goodies, and a warrenty

This pump is so quiet. It's too bad that it is just too powerful to run a single air stone for my tank. I've tried a flow adjustment but I can't get the flow low enough to not blast my fish.

These are quiet and work well when they work, but the poor motors are covered in black silicone and have no ability to dissipate heat, so they just burn themselves out. 4-6 weeks and they are toast. Take the silicone off and you’ll see what a simple design it is, and a poor one at that.

Going strong well over a year and half later! Super quiet which is great because i'm the kind of person the sound of the refrigerator bothers me. Most of the time, i only hear the bubbles from the water. Have it running two sponge filters in a ten gallon betta tank. Thought it died this morning, was getting ready to order a new one, swapped the power block out instead and whalla! it came right back on! granted, i was using the power block for my like 7 yr old android so figured the power block was the issue. I know some people have had issues with it dying in like just a few weeks, but for the price it's honestly worth the risk to me if you want something small and quiet. definitely a good buy for anyone that is super sensitive to sounds, i tried like four other "silent" ones before this and those all sounded like they were going to rattle my walls down. Will admit, it's loud for like the first 8hrs and then it got quiet.

These things bang. They put out enough gas for a 4-6 inch sponge filter, no problem. They are virtually silent- maybe 5 to 10x quieter than a Tetra Whisper. You can even hang them from a nail by a little silicone ring so there's no vibration hitting solid surfaces.HOWEVERThey also fail at a pretty high rate. Buy the two pack so you have a backup. I need 5, I've purchased 10, and 3 have failed after a period of months.

I purchased this to hatch brine shrimp and it works quite well. You will need an air valve to regulate the air flow for such an application. Well pleased.

This works well for a small tank and is very quiet. It stopped working within 2 months of use, however, so I decided to remove the cover to see if I could fix it. Sure enough, the usb cable was loose inside the housing. Simple fix, but it doesn't take much effort to make sure it is secured in the first place!

I purchased a set of 2 of these because I have an extra large sponge filter and was afraid 1 might not be enough. Not only are these virtually silent, they're surprisingly strong as just 1 is enough for my big sponge filter.
