Used this to program my original xbox modchip. Admittedly, the software and driver is from a sketchy site so I might not install this on anything mission critical. I installed it in a Windows 10 virtual machine and passed usb through and it worked fine for me. Software was easy to figure out and the reader worked no issues. I really liked the variety of adapters it came with as well.

I bought this to be able to program some Eproms. Software is good but if you want the very latest I had to go to the manufactures site and it was up to like Ver 11.9 or so . I also have used this to check tons of old 74xx, 40xx logic chips I have. I do wish it was capable of doing the older 21V Eproms but there is a work around on You Tube and that seems to work just fine. For the price its not bad and seems to work flawlessly once you get the software up and running. I didn't have any trouble setting it up on Win 10 but one of my older shop XP machines was a different story, I did eventually get it to work with some messing around.

I found some youtube videos of some tech using this to reprogram bios chips that had EFI Locks on them. I was given 3 iMacs that were all EFI Locked as they were used as internet access only machines and had custom software installed. The EFI locked left them unable to reinstall the OS on these machines and they were just going to recycle them. I was able to clear the BIOS passwords on all three machines with this. Everything was simple and straight forward, the website with the software is a bit confusing to navigate as its all in Chinese but I was able to locate the software and update the firmware on the programmer. The adapters that come with this are a must, they came in very handy to load the chip into the programmer for reprogramming.

I didn't like that the plcc32 adapter wasn't completely soldered and I had to rebuild it. The programmer works well, and even told me about the five unsoldered adapter pins.

me llegó con todas las piezas, las caracterÃsticas son verÃdicas y el programador no hizo denotar defecto alguno tanto en la instalación del software/driver, como en la sección del bus de serie correspondiente.

I ordered the TL866II+ and received the updated replacement T48 (TL866III). It shouldn't be a problem as the T48 is superior in every way to the TL866II+. Initial tests with the application and driver software show the T48 as very fast and very capable of writing an EPROM every bit as good as the TL866II+. Just beware if you are specifically ordering the TL866II+ that you may not get it and may have a T48 substituted in. Otherwise the package contents are identical. Really though, the T48 is the next generation evolution of the TL866II+, capable of running on USB 2.0, so it's a much quicker data transfer and EPROM burn. Plus the unit has slick black styling, which nicely matches my laptop!
