Check what your pinout should be. Some are straight through cables, and some are rollover cables. Straight through cables will have pin 1 (the red one) in the same position on each end. Rollover cables will have pin 1 at one end, and pin16 at the other end.In my photo, the connectors are facing the same direction. You can see that the red wire (pin 1) is on the left on one end, and the right on the other end. They mention it in the product photos, showing "Type B" and "Type C", but there is no indication to which this one is. I needed straight through cables, and these are rollover. You can't really flip these connectors yourself. When you try to disassemble it, a little tab in the connector will break. That's normal. I did one, and with a little tape, it holds together good enough for testing. It isn't good enough to give to customers. Customers don't like seeing duct tape holding their brand new product together.I guess I'll just be buying unterminated wires, and put the ends on myself, so I don't waste more money trying to guess if the cables are the right kind or not. It would really be nice if the listings actually said which ones they are.
