I have used many chokes on my solar powered house to reduce noise in my ham radio equipment. They have worked some but havent pulled all of the noise out. I had one power noise that came as a wave in my scope and drift up and down the bands. It was bad enough that portions of the 40 meter band would be un useable. I put JUST ONE of these on the power lead to the radio and the noise went away by half. I had puchased several types from excel at the time I bought these. I added two more, on was the ring type choke, and the noise was reduced to just a thin line moving up and down the bands. Worked perfect. Thanks.

I am a Ham radio operator and every time I keyed up my mic on a 10 meter SSB channel on 28.500 Mhz my monitor would turn off until I released the mic. I knew what the problem was RFI interference and I had purchased these ferrite cores for my LMR400 cable so I figured what the heck, give them a try. Well I wrapped the power cable and Display Port cable with 2 separate cores close to where they plug into the monitor, keyed my mic up and the monitor stayed on! So these saved me from having a nervous breakdown, Lol
