I bought a portable art easel to use on party caricature gigs but the tiny little thumb screws used to hold the parts together kept getting lost. So began my epic quest to find replacements. Alas my best laid plans! The thumb screws I purchased were either too thick or too thin. I finally took the sole surviving screw to my local hardware store. Using their screw diameter templates I was able to determine the size I was looking for was called M6. Naturally the store didn’t carry them. Off I went to Amazon. I discovered these and ordered them. They worked! True, the knob heads are bigger than the originals but that just means they won’t get lost as easily! But if they do disappear, now I have spares stashed in the exterior pocket of my easel bag!

I love the craftsman ship of this product but I purchased it for my Ricoma 1501 embroidery machine. This would have eliminated using the ratchet set and save a lot of time. 4-stars for the quality.

One of my boom microphone stands lost a tightening knob which made it unusable. There are 3 such knobs on each stand and you need all 4: open the legs, height, horizontal bar placement. The screws that came with it must be 15mm long (but M6). The 10mm work in the other spots but not the leg opening hole. I just swapped them.

I ordered these according to the size as *specifically recommended* by the product I was working on. Unfortunately, I could not use them for the product b/c they didn’t fit ultimately. I ate money on this purchase.
