It is loud enough, but not painfully loud. Also, the higher the voltage the louder it is. Starts at 3V and about 3 ma current, gets to 10 ma current at 12 V. It is polarity sensitive. Distance between 2 mounting holes is 30 mm.

Used these to make 2 wire testers, and they are loud enough so you can test a very long wire.

using uxcell® DIY Project DC3-24V as a headlight on and key reminder. When I open the driver's door when ignition key is off, and either the key is in the ignition switch or the headlights are left on the buzzer will sound. Buzzer does not have the nicest sound but it gets your attention. Nice and small gets the job done.

A lot higher pitched then I wanted but good. They are relatively different tones from each other which is interesting. Pretty loud, annoying in a quiet room but not loud enough to be a warning alarm in a noisy environment.
