Description:Sleeve bearings are also known as plain bearings or bushings, mostly for guiding or reducing friction in linear applications. Oiled Bearing Sleeves have a small friction coefficient of about 0.12-0.18.
They are made of powder-metallurgical metal, which has a large working temperature range from -80 degrees Celsius to 120 degrees Celsius.
Bushings provide strong housing for a shaft or fastener. They also help to reduce bore diameter or to replace worn-out original bushings on wheels.
Sintered bronze bushings are most suitable for applications with rotating movements and where self-lubricating properties of the material.

Ordered these to replace the bushings in my work sharp pro sharpener after seeing some reviews that it stiffens up the sharpening stone holder. They fit perfectly and works great. No more nylon bushings which were surprisingly worn after only sharpening a couple knives. They should have been these bushing from factory but these are perfect and have a lot of extra now.

I needed bearing sleeves to replace the plastic sleeves that come with the original ones used in the product. Contacting the company directly they only had the replacement plastic sleeves. Doing some further research, it was suggested that self-lubricating bronze sleeves of the same size could be used to replace the plastic sleeves. Although these were not the precise ones recommended, I later found out that ANY self-lubricating sleeves of the same size will work. Since the point of replacement was to make the sleeves last longer and prevent sloppiness which if not used could potentially cause addition damage, I decided to go with these. After installing them, checking the fit, and using them, I found they do in-fact work as needed. Because they are bronze, I suspect they will last a heck of a lot longer. I did notice a tightness that was not there with the plastic. That is good. Bottom line? They are simple sleeves. They are self-lubricating which works. If you are currently using plastic, or like materials and wish to replace them with something more durable, then you cannot go wrong. Not sure how they will work if you are replacing another sleeve of like material(s) but replacing plastic with something that I feel will be more durable, these work.

I made a 3D print for a drill template and used the bushings to guide a 5mm drill. The bushing seems larger than the drill and does not guide the drill as well as I expected.

I don't know your application and I have tried these with oil, grease, lithium, and graphite, but from my experience.These are machined perfectly, every one.Whatever lubricant you use expect these to last years.

They are ok. Nothing spectacular. Gum up a bit more than would like. Shaft requires constant cleaning due to build up. Centering a 304ss shaft.
