I purchased this to replace the pump in my ice machine. Works better and is quieter than the pump that was already in the ice maker. Great quality, flow rate is spot on and is good value for money.

So I was having the issue that my icemaker would run for a minute then display the "Add Water" error. What was confusing was that the water would still cascade down the back like normal. If I covered the pump inlet, there was decent suction. The old pump seemed to be working. I took a gamble and tried this pump anyway and it worked like a charm. I'm back to making glorious nugget ice. I will note that you do need some soldering skills to install this pump properly. There are just metal terminals with holes in the middle of them on the pump. You might get by inserting the wire through the terminals and twisting tightly, but the old pump was soldered in, so I thought that was the right thing to do. Some heat shrink tubing would also be a good idea.

Took a chance and purchased this replacement pump for my GE Opal nugget ice maker that had stopped making ice due to an “add water” error. The wires on the original pump were soldered on, but I just cut them off of the old pump, stripped the ends, twisted and fed the wires through the tiny holes in this pump and used some heat shrink tubing. Turned out to be a faulty pump after all, and this was a perfect fit. We have crunchy ice again!

This is the fix for add water light on GE Opal 2.0 ice maker. simple install fixed problem. I had tried everything and this did it! although the original pump pumped some water still it was not enough to satisfy machine. you will need to get small electrical connectors to attach wires to pump leads other then that plug and play

I used this to rack a 5 gallon carboy of mead. It's a lot less effort and waste than using an auto siphon. That being said, the terminals on the pump are so small, it's hard to get and keep a good connection. It started struggling to pump at the same level at about 1/5 full, so I had to raise one carboy above the other. I feel like if this pump had bigger terminals, you could get a better connection and more power. It does run a little slow - took me about 1.5 hours total to pump 5 gallons, but again is way easier and has way less waste than other methods. I'd recommend for a cheap and easy home brewing solution for beer and wine!

After searching forums of why my ice maker would work intermittently as well as the “add water” light would come on when it was full, I came to understand the OEM pump was not priming like it should. A search on Amazon lead me to this unit which was reasonably priced and worth a shot to try to fix the machine. The unit arrived quickly and then sat on top of the machine for a month because I was too lazy to take it apart and kept dealing with turning on the clean cycle to prime it and then finally that didn’t work. So today I took the new pump out of the box and took the ice maker apart. The pump doesn’t come with any wires which is fine since you can use the old one. However the old wires are soldered on which meant I had to cut it, strip it and resolder on to the new pump. It wasn’t the prettiest of jobs but it worked. After cleaning the machine, putting it back together, filling it with water, I plugged it in and heard the beautiful sound of a pump at work. I could see the water start to trickle down and knew it was working. We finally have ice again.I can’t speak for the longevity of this pump being the first day of using it, but pleased with it so far and it saved the machine for now.

3/15/22Just a quick update. Pump has been working great up until now. It is starting to make a lot of noise, so I’m buying two more to have spares on hand. I am beginning to think that hard water has a lot to do with these pumps going bad.I got this little pump and was happy to have found it for my Opal nugget ice maker. Long story short is that this is a perfect-fit replacement for the original pump, primes very fast, and had my ice machine up and running very quickly.Of course at this point I cannot attest to the durability of this little guy, but hopefully it will last as long as the original. All in all this really saved my ice maker, because Opal (actually made by First Build) does not support that ice maker at all. When I diagnosed the pump as faulty, instead of having a replacement, saying send the unit in, take it to whatever repair, here is a new pump, etc. they instead offered me 15% off a new ice maker. So at a price of $499 that makes this $19 pump worth $425!So if you have this problem with an Opal ice maker, have some mechanical and soldering capabilities, then buy this pump knowing it works. Other applications I’m sure will work as well, but can’t verify that personally.Good luck!

Needed this for my water dispenser. Used a zip tie to tighten the end that holds the hose and the pump works. Only issue I have is when the tank is empty it keeps running until the new bottle is attached but overall works

Smaller than original. Dimension Measurements would have been nice. Need to solder connection.

It was shipped quickly. I replaced the pump on my humidifier. The manufacture of the humidifier only wanted to sell me a new humidifier. I don't need a new now.
