Building a sewer hose carrier for our rv and need an expansion spring to keep the cap secured but still allow the removal of cap to access the sewer hose. This works and is stainless which shouldn’t rust. I will see how it hold up over time but don’t expect any issues.

I looked for a long time for a "bouncy" spring for a craft project and this one seems perfect for that need. The one I received expands from 12" to 18" in supporting 16 ounces and from 12" to 24" in supporting 24 ounces (including the hooks pictured). It springs back to the original length when the weights are removed.

Specious and misleading info about its use for which something is put, and regrettably, the springs will not work on our 2-exterior 6-ft-wooden gates. Additionally, the ambiguous, embellished Website visuals frankly depicting a dissimilar final use are laughable, to be sure. So then, why at the very end do Amazon brothers ask for product testimonials or feedback, when it appears, that feedback or complaints commentary isn't allowed when posting to return comments, other than when begging for product testimonials? Sue, me, because for many of Amazon loyal Supporters and frequent shoppers Amazon's Return Process is a bigger headache, pricey, and frankly an inconvenience and thus making errors in our purchasing isn't something we look forward to.

It's a spring and it's springy. Not much more to say. Hardware stores and the big Depot stores don't sell these, especially in this size, so thank goodness for Amazon.
