I had a heavy older boat cooler that used these assist arms. The end connections heads had rusted so swapping them out for these was all I needed! Great fit. Stay attached well and do what they are supposed to.

I mainly bought these because I needed the metal "spring clip" that secures the fitting to the end of the arm with a sphere. But I couldn't find anyone selling just the clip - except at a price that exceeded buying the entire package of M6 fittings. So I bought the fittings... and I'm glad I did. The fit was perfect and it was much easier just screwing these fittings on rather than fighting with the clips. Lesson learned. These fittings fit and work perfectly.

My replacement struts had plastic threads which stripped the first time someone breathed on the trunk lid while it was open. These were cheaper than more new struts and have metal threads.

Easy to replace, just screw on. These work wonderful to replace the ends of you gas shocks. Much more convenient and cheaper than buying a whole new shock
