I needed the part to fix an issue with my 3D printer. The feeder was not receiving enough power to push filament. After some research I found the ribbon cables wear out due to sliding and stretching. In my case, the old ribbon cable wore out, but did not break completely, so I only lost power to the feeder. This replacement fixed my issues. It will likely also wear out in the future, but now I know how to diagnose and resolve the issue.

If you need the ends the other way round order Type A!I also had to flip this cable around on one end but it is setup as described in the images. Type A will keep the pins in the same order on either side but flip the clips. B/C will keep the clips the same way but flip the pins.

These types of cables typically have weak, easily broken connectors when the winged clips all too often break so you might want to have extras on hand. I'm not thinking that this is unique to this vendor .

No fried parts and no issues so far for me. I was hoping to have an option longer than 1.5 meters though...

The connectors are not installed correctly. One end is the opposite of the other and plugging this into many electronics would probably fry something. Luckily I was pre-warned that this might happen and checked before I tried to use the cable. I've heard many people complain about this issue, stay far far away.

One of the ends was put on backwards. When each side is inserted with the slot tab in the correct position, it should work, but it didn't. I have to whittle off one of the tabs with a utility knife, and insert that end "upside down (which was actually correct)." Then it worked perfectly.

Replaced my extruder ribbon cable for a wanhao D6 3d printer with this cable. Type-b SHOULD be like stock replacement. Only type c was available, it works but you have to cut or grind away the alignment tab on the cable plug on one end to fit into the motherboard (you have to plug it in upside down for a type c cable). Will buy these in the future if they keep stocking them.
