Bought these to replace missing nuts for Advent speakers. They did not fit so I just replaced the screws on the speakers. Worked fine then.

I put an air filter on a 140mm fan in my entertainment stand using the supplied screws. It was a pain to remove and reinstall after cleaning with it being so close to the wall. I purchased some M4x40mm screws and these thumb nuts. Now it only takes me 10 minutes to remove, clean and reinstall the filter.

Exterior of the thumb nuts look as expected and have a reasonably good finish. The threads though are a bit rough, advise running a bolt into them with some lube the first time and then degrease after. One nut had threads missing from about 2/3 of one side of the threaded portion (See pic). I'm not even sure how that could happen...just threads full circumference about 1/3 in and then one side turns shinny with some light scratch marks where the threads should be...while the other side is threaded normal. I didn't return them...but did think about it.

I used these to hold nylon bed retention brackets for my borosilicate glass bed. They were the perfect size - small enough so as not to hit the printer frame during print movement, but large enough to get a good grip on with my sausage fingers.
